"US Government Hyatt rate (69333) follows the same mandatory verification requirement as all US government hotel rates. GSA policy requires federal employees to present valid government-issued photo ID at check-in for government rates. Hyatt's own policy documentation: "Government rate eligibility must be verified with a valid government ID at check-in at all Hyatt properties." Unlike corporate discount codes where enforcement varies by property, government rate verification is contractually required at all participating Hyatt properties."

"You can get the same corporate rates if you have the business card and join Hyatt Leverage. I do have an LLC, not sure if that matters though. No one in North America, Europe or Central Asia has ever asked for ID. I don't even have corporate ID, as I'm the only technical employee haha. People have said that in East Asia they do ask, but I haven't been there yet on a corporate rate. Chances in San Diego are about 1% they ask. Don't worry. They would accept just about any proof you have. Even if it's an email address."

"It’s always 50/50. You need to be ready. Stayed at Park Hyatts, Andaz and Alilas… never asked. Stayed at Hyatt and Hyatt Regency. Only asked 1 maybe 2x. And both times I’m glad I had my company badge and email. Stayed at Hyatt Places and Hyatt Houses. 3 out of 10x they ask me for proof of rate ID. You can chance it or you can get the rate and bring your id badge/email so you get the actual rate. Better to have it and not need it. Then not have it and pay $100-500 more than the rate."
