"I work for the front desk, at a Marriott, & have for the last 8 years .... So when it comes to room upgrades; it goes based on AVAILABILITY... sometimes no matter the tier, if we have it available - I will upgrade the guest. Now of course, higher tiered members get dibs on the upgrades first but after we go through the higher tiered members, Ambassador, Titanium, Platinum - then we go through the other ones. "I always see people saying that they aren’t able to do mobile check in. I’ve only stayed at two Marriott hotels where I tried to do mobile check in ( both of them never been to before) and they both let me without having to go to the front desk which I was really happy about because I had lost my ID and didn’t know how I was going to check in. Also I think I only had about 20 nights at the time, I usually stay with my boyfriend because he’s titanium."
