Meta's standard corporate ID is a photo badge with company logo — easily recognizable by hotel staff in Silicon Valley. Hotels farther from Meta's campus presence: minimal verification. Post-2022, Bay Area Marriott full-service properties (W Hotel SF, San Jose Marriott) have increased scrutiny of tech company codes."

In that one situation I explained the consulting arrangement, and the desk clerk accepted it without a badge or business card (neither of which I had anyway)."
