"IBM Taiwan's Hyatt code (52718) is specific to IBM's Taiwan operations. Hyatt Asia-Pacific properties enforce corporate code verification near 100% of the time per FlyerTalk community data. "Andaz Tokyo asked for badge, business card and email" — this pattern applies broadly across Asia-Pacific Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt. IBM Taiwan is a major presence in Taipei business travel; Grand Hyatt Taipei has been documented requiring corporate ID. IBM's standardized physical badges are well-recognized."

"I don’t really know how they truly enforce this. A lot of companies don’t even put the company name or brand on ID cards anymore due to security concerns (if you find a card on the ground it’s a lot harder to know where to use it). In 20 years of traveling for work I’ve only been asked for a form of ID one time, which was in Germany, and sending the front desk agent an email from my corporate email address took care of their concern."

"I agree with that, but I do think that Hyatt would garner a solid amount of business by offering a FT discount code. If Hyatt did this they would get some very good press here on FT and to my knowledge be the first large hotel/airline to offer such a discount to us. If the discount was decent enough...something greater than AAA discount, they would probably steal some biz from the competition. I belong to other forums where corporations do offer forum members a unique discount. Of course in the matter of minutes that code would be plastered all over fatwallet and slickdeals and no longer be unique."
