"HP's Hilton code 9122532 appears in multiple aggregator sites including hotelcorporatecodes.com. FlyerTalk's London Hilton ID enforcement thread covers properties enforcing checks when discount depth exceeds 15-20% of flex rate. HP's corporate discount at Hilton is typically 15-30%. Hotels near HP/HPE headquarters in Palo Alto, Houston TX, and Bristol UK are more likely to have procedures for verifying HP employees."

"I know that previously the Hertz IBM rate was always fixed in the mid $30s for a full size vehicle with last car availability. A minivan was $175/week in Orlando even during President's week when the going rate was about $1,200. This is probably why Hertz and at least Avis has been more strict. I have found Marriott to be very strict, especially at key locations, when it comes to the government rate. Marriott wants travel orders, a government ID, and/or a government credit card. I found Hilton to be less strict for those government rates."

"I called the hotel and spoke with someone who was adamant that I had booked a Government On Business rate and would need to show Government ID. I explained that there was a difference between having access to a Corp code which allowed access to HM UK Government rates (which I have done regularly for 15 years) and booking an OnBusiness Government rate directly by clicking the box on Hilton.com (which I have never done). She wasn't moving and insisted this was the same thing."
