CorporateCodeCheck answers one practical question: if you use a hotel corporate discount code, how likely is the front desk to ask for employee ID?

What We Do

Corporate hotel codes offer significant discounts — sometimes 30–50% off published rates. But using a code you're not entitled to carries a real risk: the front desk asks for proof, and you end up paying full rack rate instead.

We aggregate real-world check-in reports from FlyerTalk, Reddit, Fishbowl, and other travel communities to quantify that risk for each code. Every risk rating is backed by verified traveler accounts — not guesses.

How Risk Levels Work

LOW
Under 10% ID check rate
Front desks rarely ask for proof. Typical for select-service properties, retail/consumer brands, and university codes.
MEDIUM
10–40% ID check rate
Spot checks at full-service urban properties. Common for consulting, finance, and tech company codes in major markets.
HIGH
50%+ ID check rate
Documented systematic verification. Employee/family discounts, codes with specific property alerts, Asia-Pacific full-service properties.

Data Sources

All risk ratings are derived from traveler-reported experiences — not hotel chain disclosures or guesswork. Primary sources include the long-running FlyerTalk megathreads for each chain, Reddit communities (r/awardtravel, r/churning, r/Hyatt, r/marriott), Fishbowl professional discussions, and aggregators like hotelcorporatecodes.com.

Each code page shows the actual traveler quotes used to determine its risk level, so you can evaluate the evidence yourself.
