"We just have to book under our corporate rate in Concur regardless of rate. Example in Columbus, OH our 2 preferred properties are Hilton downtown and Hilton Polaris those rooms can be $400+ a night. If I book at the Hyatt House at $199-$225 also part of our general corporate rate off BAR it will tell me I’m out of compliance for not booking our preferred hotels even though they are more. I override this all the time but that’s how it works."

"I use corporate codes all the time and never get asked. I shouldn’t be using them but, hey, it is what it is. The risk is you get that front desk agent (or even manager) who goes “I see your with the Coca-Cola rate, can I have your corporate Id please”? Has never happened to me yet but it is a risk. So book accordingly."
