IHG enforcement is tier-dependent: InterContinental and Kimpton properties enforce eligibility most strictly while Holiday Inn Express shows minimal enforcement. One FlyerTalk user documented IHG refusing to honor a rate without ID and offering to cancel the reservation after the cancellation deadline."
