"Using codes you are not intented to use has become more and more an issue. And the question is answered as much as it could have been answered. For the record, I was entitled to use negotiated corporate rates at IHG hotels in the past and have been asked, especially if they were heavenily discounted. I am still entitled to use rates at Hilton and have been asked in the last twelve month even at these hotels, which do not want to see my ID earlier. If staying there frequently, they put a record in their system, but sometimes even then I am asked again. So, if you get caught, be prepared to pay the rack rate. It is gambling, and sometimes the bank (or in this case hotels) win."
